OneMain Challenge Series Kicks Back Into Action with 2 Events This Wknd

The drivers of the OneMain Challenge Series for WISSOTA Late Models will be back in competition this Thursday and Friday with a pair of events at the I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, Minnesota on Thursday and at the Fiesta City Speedway in Montevideo, MN on Friday night.
Thursday night, the track’s annual King of the Dirt presented by Shoremaster Inc., DJ’s Dock Service, Smith Motors, Tightline Drainage and Joe Provo Racewear will feature a $3,000 to win / $250 to start event for the Late Model division. WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds and Super Stocks will be in competition as support classes to the Late Models. Racing begins at 7pm. The OneMain Challenge Series has never competed at the I-94 Speedway in the 17 year history of the tour.

Horace, North Dakota’s Cody Skytland is the 2015 King of the Dirt Late Model Champion. Other winners include John Kaanta, John Henkemeyer, Eric Breeschoten and Jeff Wildung, who is the only 2 time winner of the event.
Friday, the teams will travel approximately 100 miles south to the Fiesta City Speedway in Montevideo, MN for a $2,000 to win / $200 to start Challenge Series event presented by NAPA Auto Parts of Montevideo, Clara City and Granite Falls. WISSOTA Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Street Stocks, Mod Fours and FCS Pure Stocks will be in competition as support classes to the Late Models. Racing begins at 7pm.
Ham Lake, Minnesota racer Don Shaw raced to victory during the most recent Challenge Series event held at the Fiesta City Speedway in August of 2015. 4-time Challenge Series Champion Pat Doar holds 5 series wins at the 4/10 mile black dirt oval with defending series champ John Kaanta owning a pair of series wins in Montevideo. Lance Matthees, AJ Diemel and Jeff Wildung have also visited victory lane at the Chippewa County Fairgrounds during Challenge Series competition over the 11 series events held at Fiesta City dating back to 1999.
